Finally, no more sock marks at the end of the day
I've worn dress socks for thirty-odd years and my calves have always paid the price. Tried Edvin on a whim. End of the first day: no rings, no itching, no rush to peel them off the second I sat down. I genuinely didn't think a sock could make this much difference.
Tried three 'bamboo' brands before this — Edvin is the real one
I'd basically given up on bamboo socks. One brand stretched out after a fortnight, another was scratchy by month two. Edvin's the only pair that's stayed soft AND stayed up. Wish I'd found them first instead of binning £80 on the others.
Twice the price, four times the life
Yes, they cost more than a Primark multi-pack. But I was buying new socks every six months. The pairs I bought last summer still look new. The maths checks out.
Still going strong after six months
Bought four pairs back in October. They've been through the wash easily thirty times each and still look brand new — no thinning at the heel, no baggy ankles. My old M&S pairs were knackered in half the time.
No smell, even after a 12-hour shift
I'm a nurse, on my feet all day in trainers. Used to dread taking my socks off at home. With these? Honestly no smell at the end of the shift. My husband's actually nicked a pair for himself.
Sorry, Falke — Edvin has my feet now
I've worn Falke for fifteen years. Took some convincing to try something new, but a friend recommended Edvin so I gave a pack a go. Softer cuff, no marks, half the price. Falke's lovely but these have won me over.
A godsend for my diabetic dad
Bought these after his GP told him to ditch tight-elastic socks. He used to come home with deep red welts on his shins. Two months in: no marks at all, and he says his feet feel less swollen by evening. Buying more for Father's Day.
Honestly forgot I had them on
Put a pair on at 7am for the office. Realised at 9pm — still wearing them, still comfortable. That has never happened with any sock I've owned. Ordering in every colour.
Sent the wrong size — sorted in 24 hours
I'd accidentally ordered a size too small. Emailed support expecting the usual round of forms and photos. Got a reply the next morning, new pair out the door same day, no hassle. That's how it should be done.
Tested by a postman — they pass
Around 30,000 steps a day in safety boots. Most socks rub through at the heel by month four. These have held up since January with zero thinning and zero blisters. Worth every penny.
Spot on once I sized up
I'm a size 8 and ordered the 6-8. They fit fine but I'd recommend sizing up like the guide says if you're at the top of a band — the 9-11 sat better for me. Other than that, can't fault them.
Eczema-friendly, finally
I've got eczema round my ankles and most socks set it off by lunchtime. Three weeks in Edvins, zero flare-ups. The fabric doesn't grip the skin so there's nothing for the irritation to catch on. Massive relief.
First year-round socks I've ever owned
Took a pair on a cold March walk in the Peak District — feet stayed warm and dry. Wore the same pair in August through a heatwave week — feet didn't overheat. Don't understand the witchcraft, but I'm not complaining.
Walked the South Downs Way in them — zero blisters
Wore the same two pairs across a five-day walk, washed in the sink each night, dried overnight. No blisters, no rubbing, no smell. Better than any 'technical' walking sock I've worn.
Best gift I've given my husband in years
He's impossible to buy for. Got him a four-pack for his birthday — thought he'd be polite about it. He's now requesting more pairs and threw out his entire sock drawer. Genuinely a brilliant gift.
Eco without the lecture
I avoid 'sustainable' brands that lecture you about it. Edvin's just made a properly good sock that happens to be eco — no preaching, no green-halo price tag. More brands should do it this way.
Two days, beautifully packaged
Ordered Sunday night, arrived Tuesday morning. Came in a proper little box too, not a shoved-in jiffy bag. Small thing, but it makes a difference when you're treating yourself.
